A Little About Me
With nearly two decades of experience supporting children and families, I bring a comprehensive and deeply informed perspective to the practice of psychiatry with a focus on the child and adolescent population. My professional background spans both social work and advanced psychiatric nursing, providing a multidisciplinary foundation allowing me to consider mental health through a broad clinical lens—integrating biological, psychological, developmental, relational, and environmental factors into the care of each individual. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I specialize in individualized psychiatric care, with a particular emphasis on thoughtful medication management, holistic treatment, and trauma-informed practice.
My approach to psychiatric care is intentionally personalized. I take the time to understand the whole person behind the symptoms, recognizing that effective treatment requires more than addressing a diagnosis in isolation. When medication management is indicated, I provide careful, evidence-based evaluation and ongoing monitoring, with treatment plans thoughtfully tailored to individual needs, goals, developmental stage, and circumstances.
I place tremendous value on creating a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, respect, safety, and collaboration. I partner closely with parents and caregivers while honoring the developing autonomy and individuality of each child and adolescent. My goal is to create a space where young people feel genuinely heard and understood, and where families feel informed, supported, and confident in the care they receive.
I believe exceptional psychiatric care is both clinically sophisticated and deeply human. By combining nearly 20 years of experience of working with children and families with a holistic, trauma-informed philosophy, I strive to provide thoughtful, individualized care that helps children and adolescents build resilience, strengthen emotional well-being, and move toward their fullest potential.
